This is what Nathalia reports about "International Career Planning"
"Taking “International Career Planning” was fundamental for my growth as a young professional. Through activities with career coaches, this course challenged me to envision the type of personal and professional life I wish to lead. As someone interested in media, communications, and the performing arts, having the chance to speak with professionals across various industries helped me explore my own interests while also exposing me to roles I hadn’t previously considered. Given the added global component of our course, I also learned about the lifestyles and work cultures of several different countries. This introduced me to the idea of working in places I had previously known little about.
Because many of our invited guests stayed after class to provide individualized advice, I also received many suggestions for how to intersect my specific interests. I am happy to say that since “International Career Planning,” I have remained in touch with many of our speakers! Having completed this course, I am now confident in how to stand out as a candidate and network with people I admire. “International Career Planning” gave me the practical steps and tips for making my international career a reality.
I would absolutely recommend this class, and the broader SoWi?So! certificate program in International Competence to all JGU students. If you’re interested in gaining exposure to diverse career fields around the world, improving your networking skills, and expanding your professional network, then this course is right for you!"
